Let me just upload my first post again as I wasn't able to read the replies before everything was refreshed. It took me a while to figure out which photograph to post first....in the end I decided to go with an image created 3 years ago. During a roundtrip through the UK I found some very cooperative eiders just before sunset. Unfortunately all males were molting, so I'll have to go back for that.

    Hi Jasper,

This image is amazing. I really like the low angle, details and composition. The sun really make this image pop. The water is as smooth as it gets. Very well done.

Thank you for sharing with us.

I think what catches my attention first is the bright colors of this image. Gorgeous blue water to compliment the golden Eider. So great that you got the low angle....not always possible....and the water is like satin. It's a beautiful image that is so pleasing to view....and one that I'm jealous of...having yet to see my first Eider.

This is a beauty Jasper !! Awesome lighting and detail and the wonderful blue of the water as well as low angle just puts this over the top.

I like this very much. I wasn't so lucky with those birds in Germany as no incoming birds found.
