    From the Sax-Zim bog here in Minnesota, 1/320 sec, 6.3, shutter priority, spot metered, ISO 1600, 7D II.

    Did some work on it after reading on Artie's post-processing work, though I still have a lot to read.

    nice full body portrait Paul, I like the stare and the perch. he can use more sharpening and removing of the blue color cast. Was this a captive owl BTW?

    Hi thanks for the tips. He was in the wild, they nest here in the northern part of Minnesota and are fairly reliable especially in winter.
