    These look like mighty hard birds to photograph John and I think you've done fairly well on this one. The calling pose is excellent and love the perch. Not sure if you've done any selective lighting adjustments on this one. I think it would be even better if the perch was toned down a bit along with that red/orange patch on the wing - but maybe that's how these look in real life as I wouldn't know? So disregard as appropriate.

    Lovely shot John. I suspect the shot has a little too much contrast, the darks are very rich.

    This is a setting I'm more used to seeing these birds in! Really nice perch and BG. Good sun angle as well. I think you could actually loosen the crop a bit and give the bird more room above and to the left. TFS
