    Default Red-wing on ***** Willow

Managed to get pretty close today, yet still used 1200mm in the hope of using all of those megapixels with minimal (to 35 megapixels) cropping.

I really like the composition here. Perch and pose are excellent. I find these birds so difficult to get a nice photo of and still don't have one that I consider a keeper. You have a bit of a blue cast to the blacks that can easily be fixed by going to hue/saturation and lowering the saturation of the blue channel of the bird. I would also tone down the red of the wings.

Like the calling pose the perch and background. Can't wait to shoot these guys this spring.

Thank you Isaac and John for the feedback. I have cleaned up the blue cast on the bird and knocked down the red a bit on the wing.

Repost looks better. Lovely singing pose and love the ***** willow perch. As one of the few girls on the boards I can assure you it is OK to use the word ***** in the title!
I had a good laugh when I saw the title.

Thanks Gail. I did not apply the asterisks. I was actually shocked when they appeared upon my posting the image. I assumed the site did it. Regardless, glad it made you laugh!
