    Default Rufous Night Heron

This is one migrant that decided to stay permanently in our islands.

Never seen this species before, very cool!! I'd prefer more room around the bird, specfically in front and below. As is the bottom arch of the perch is clipped and throws off the comp a bit.

P.S. you can PM Al Forns with your full name for him to adjust for you as we encourage full name usage on BPN :-)

    Keep them coming!!

Very nice capture of this bird, I don't think I've seen this species before, either. What island is that? I like the soft light but would prefer a cleaner BG, which might have been possible by walking a bit to your right. Keep them coming!

Beautiful. I'd really like to see it at the full 800 pixels allowed. Really nice color and saturation. Hard to tell at this size, but I think the eye could use a bit of work to bring it out a little.

Welcome, and yes, where are your islands? This is a truly lovely bird. The image could be lightened at least a bit. All comments above are spot on. I too would love to see more images of this beauty. Are you sure that the species name is not "Chocolate Night-Heron"?

A very stately heron...my first view of this species. The cleaner background comment is right on, but I still like this very much as you have it here. Sounds like we are all eager to see more photographs of birds from your island!

What an awesome looking bird. Beautiful! I agree about the crop being a tad too close but this bird is just stunning.
The colors you have here are wonderful. I've never seen this type of bird before.
