    Hi Guys

An image I made last weekend while on a Photographic judging course... The area where the course was held is famous for amongst other things the granite features that exist on that part of the coast. I made the image with an Old 50D that was rolling around in the bottom of my car.. I had no intent to do any photography while I was in the area but the granite took over somewhat.. This is a stitch of about 4 images, hand held in bright sunlight..

    Canon 50D & 50/ F1.4 prime
    1/500 sec @ F5, ISO 400

Stitched in Photoshop (CS6) and converted is Silver effects.

Nice texture and detail here. I'm not sure about the bright spots on the top of the frame. What is a photographic judging course?

    Hi John

Western Australian photographic clubs have an affiliated body that helps administer all the clubs for Western Australia and also provides judges for interclub and 'within the club' competitions. These judges are 'trained' in how to respond and what to look for by the body. I attended a preliminary course held by this body..

Interesting Rock formation. Some how don't like the bright Light at the top, having said that I shoot a lot of images of rocks and deleted them latter. This one is much better than mine.

    Thanks for sharing

I like shots of patterns and here those dark bands in the lower third that make the image for me. I was attracted there and didn't even notice the bright spotsuntil I read the previous comments.

I like this pano Don...if it wwere mine I would crop the bright sections off along the top edge and hit it with a little Nik Detail Extractor to bring out some of the fine detail in the rocks...nice work!
