A very nice "small in the frame image".
    IQ and whites look good.
He looks like he is flying away from you slightly but I think you can get away with it because of the small size in the frame,

Small in the frame works here. I like the top view. Good background as well.

I like what you were going for here. Whites and image quality are very good. The problem here is that as Gail said the bird is flying a bit away from us. Also I don't like that the birds head is right on the line where the mountain begins and the bushes end.

Agree that the angle of the bird leaves us wanting more. Colors and exposure are great!

Also, this is a Ross's Goose, a slight smaller version of the very similar Snow Goose.
This guy's bill is too small for Snow and lacks the characteristic black edging (i.e. the
grinning patch). Snow Goose is also heavier headed; This guy has a comparatively
    smaller and rounder head.

Everything looks good except away way the goose is flying. Obviously parallel with the camera and a good wing and head position is what you are after. The rest of it looks great. Well done

I like this one a lot. With the bird flying slightly away the banking flight is really neat. Wish that it has banked a but more to show us more of the dorsal surface of the near wing. Super sharp with a perfect exposure. And Dorian is correct; the bird is a Ross's Goose. Note the stubby bill, the lack of the grinning patch that is always present with a Snow Goose, and the greenish warts at the base of the bill.

    with love, artie

    Thank you all the comments.

I didn't know the difference between Ross and Snow Goose. Now I can identify the species better.
