    Photographed on my recent trip to Minnesota with Gail and Ann. Late afternoon light. Not nearly as colorful as the male, but no less beautiful.

    Canon 1dx mark ii and Canon 500 f4 ii +1.4x iii. ISO 1250, SS 1/2500, F8

    IQ is excellent and I like the perch clean up.
    Great look at those tiny feet.
    Only thing that could improve this would be a pose that is more parallel to the camera.

    Very nice, clean, and well lit image of this northern finch. Not sure what you did to the perch (as per Gail!)
    but it is a fun one regardless.

    The feather detail is looking real good here on the 5K. Maybe very slightly over sharpened, but looking good, if you know what I mean.
