    Taken in Vancouver.
    Crop to 60 % FF
    Canon 1 DX 600mm and 1.4 x
    ISO 2000 SS 1/800 F 5.6
    PP: Usual LR sliders, NR to BG, levels, cloned out 2 curved blackberry stems in front and below o owl, DE/TC at 15% to owl, USM to JPEG.

    Lovely late afternoon (or early morning!) light on this bird. BG is nicely blurred but shows a nice
    suggestion of habitat.

    Agree with all the positives, also like some of the more subtle touches, nice catchlight, curled talons, angle in frame. All good.

    It is great that you have been able to capture these guys during daylight. Not a common thing in Michigan.

    love this one too, If I were there I would have shot ISO 3200 or 4000 to get rid of motion blur on the wing tips, I like either sharp or strong motion on the wings personally. There is also some noise on the primaries
