One more Bee-eater species from Botswana. This one was less plentiful - in fact we only got one look at him. But such a pretty bird.

    Hi Bill,
What a sweet image, the perch, high key, the great bee eater!
The only thing i might try would be to lift some shadows, tail: both the blues and blacks and the some NR on them... One look for this was a gift eh!

Very nice high key image Bill.
Colors look spot on. Good comp.
At first, I thought the perch was a bit overwhelming but it has grown on me- the nice texture and lines in the wood are nice. A bit more of a head turn our way would have been ideal.
My eyes must be getting dim because I do not see any noise in the tail but I am viewing on a 21.5 in screen so perhaps that is why Ann and I are seeing different things.
    Nice image,
    gail

Bill I do like the way you have done this, did wonder about the perch but it's a nice interesting piece of wood ,bird itself looks beautiful with super colours, agree about the tail and afraid these old eyes of mine cannot see any noise.Like this one.

I am loving all of these posts from other countries. Sweet bird and I like the high key presentation. Nice and interesting perch as well. Not sure if it is a 5k imac thing but the whole bird and perch looks a bit noisy to me. Did you have to lift the shadows a bunch on this one? Also I am not sure of the angle of the perch, but the bottom part seems a touch sharper than the part that the bird is sitting on.

Thank you all. Isaac, sorry to hear that you have a noisy monitor. Time to upgrade to a 2K. Yes, I did lift the exposure just a bit, but probably enough to bring out some noise at 2500 ISO.
