This image was created on the morning of Thursday, 26, 2018 at Indian Lake Estates, FL. I used the BLUBB-supported Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/4E FL ED VR lens, the Nikon AF-S Teleconverter TC-14E III, and the Nikon D850. ISO 400. Matrix metering -1/3 stop as framed: 1/1000 sec. at f/6.3. AWB (AUOT2) at 7:29am on a clear morning some sweet light. d-9 upper slightly left shutter Button AF with the selected AF point on the side of the base of the neck, pretty much on the same plane as the bird’s eye. Focus Peaking micro-adjustment: +4.

Don't be shy; all comments are welcome.

Holy smokes Artie, perplexed by this prey! How can those little feet carry the weight of such a long body? Is this a snake that had caught this little guy perhaps? cool though!

Wicked cool scene! I love the prey, and the habitat. I'm surprised to see such brights from you, especially that you like them very well below the 255 threshold - as posted some of them are clipped.

hi Artie I was wondering if this “creature” was a snake and had started to eat the “lizard” sticking out of his mouth! I just have never seen such a creature and was surprised that those two little feet in the front sticking out could hold up such a long and heavy body, so I thought it might be a snake who ate a lizard who was now being eaten by a GBH!

    Hi Dan,

Thanks. I have been processing my WHITEs brighter with my Nikon gear. Not sure why. I have also been capturing lighter as well, usually aiming for the low to mid-240s rather than the mid-230s as I did with my Canon images. In the TIFF the brightest RGB values were 253, 249, 243. You are correct on the JPEG as presented. I will cut back just a bit :)
