These ducks have now started nesting in Scotland, which is good news. When I arrived on location to photograph them, the weather had deteriorated rapidly, and light was limited, as you can see from my settings. For this one, I was laying down at the side of the loch, handheld. I must return when the sun shines.

Great IQ, feather detail, colors and background, especially at ISO 3200. The background compliments and I like the composition. There do seem to be some whites blown out lower right.

Wonderful feather detail, sharpness and I like the square crop for this one.

Check out that plumage! Great colours, and an "in your face" comp. There is some noise you could tame on the eye and bill. Love that puffed up chest!

Great detail. That is one snazzy looking duck. The colors are great.

Hi Will, this colourful guy really pops out the screen. The colours look natural, good HA, and hope the weather will be kinder on future visits.
