Hi Gail, lovely low shooting angle and I really like the soft light and IQ in this. The iridescence on the feathers show up so well, and you have managed a slight had turn too. The bubbles from the 'kicking' feet add interest.

What stunning colors you're captured on this hen. I don't think I've ever seen an image of one with such a lovely range. Well done.

Lovely frame Gail. Very nice BG and HA. I like the image quality and the POV. Great colours on the bird.

The female of this species is beautiful and you have captured her really well. Beautiful feather details and I love the complementary background. I think at this point it may not be worth mentioning due to screen variation but I see some posterization in the out of focus area above the bird that I am sure may not be on everyones monitor and I highly doubt is on the full res. So probably best to ignore it at this point. I see it on the 5k iMac but not on my phone so it has to be an issue on the iMac and compression.

First class, Gail. I love the pop from the background but am amazed by the colours on this little wonder. We have 'wood ducks' in Australia too but they aren't a patch on these. Pose, tonal rendering and colour are all superb as is the signature detail. No grumbles from me on this one.

You sure did this beautiful hen Justice.
That green background really makes her pop and the colors and details are stunning.
    Very nice Gail

pretty nice low angle with good details, the calm water was on your side. Excellent close up details too. I don't see any posterization but the colors are a bit dull to my eye, you could bump up the saturation. the darker feathers have some noise, should be easy to fix

She's a beauty, Gail. I like how well you captured the iridescence in such soft light. Like the detail, eye contact as she's motoring along, and the low POV.
