    Do like this nice uncluttered almost pastel image John,good detail in the blacks and the whites,that Sigma lens certainly does an excellent job.

    Nice looking Gull with a good HA, I do find the strip of color at the top of the frame to be pulling my eye from the subject I would crop about 1/2 of it out along with some of the dead space to the left.

    Handsome bird with nice detail and sharpness on him. I'd have placed him on the left of the frame to give him some space to look into. You can try expanding canvas and doing a content-aware fill to see what the computer fills in for you. The same thing would work if you wanted to get rid of the blue line at the top. In any case I'd also clean up the few little bits of schmutz (or "dirt/gunk" for those unfamiliar with Yiddish) on the sand.
