Great pose and background. Although this captures the feeling of a gloomy evening, I wonder if brightening it just a tad would help? No problem with the fence post, but I might have taken out the grasses.
Excellent pose, and nice degree of head turn, Keith. Like the dark evening light, and lovely background. Great look at the large talon.

Good to see you posting and the SEO is so lovely to loo at... What a wonderful look he gave you! Love those eyes, sure, maybe increase exposure, but i prefer the gloomy look!
Wonderful image. I like the pose and the bright clear eyes. Post perch and wire work. Beautiful back ground. +1 to brighten a bit and I would remove the grass you left as I don't think it adds.
I have left the bits of grass and tried to keep as near to the original as possible and perhaps concentrating more on the content rather than bogging myself down with shutter speeds and iq,perhaps could do with a little more detail but pleased with the result at 1/60 .Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions on this, will try to find some more old ones.
Keith.
Hi Kieth, I can see people wanting to brighten the owl but I would only do a little around the eyes the rest of the image set a nice mood.

Well done Keith. Apart from removing the grasses, I like the image as is. I love the 'feel' about this one, and the facial expression.

Thanks Don and Will think we have about the same thoughts on this.
Cheers Keith.
