Evening light and intense colors
I find these pre-historic birds very impressive with their intense colors. However, when the setting sun illuminates them they almost glow. I took the image being in the water and getting close to the bird with the setting sun at my back .

Great low angle, and the warmth of the light is rather beautiful. Good comp. Although the flamingo was most certainly looking all aglow, I'm wondering if the reds could be toned down just a touch as some of them are looking clipped as posted.

Love the colors here. The light is sweet as well. Nice composition.

Excellent, with great POV, colors, and really like the wash of orange on the water form the reflection.
Agree with Daniel about the reds, a bit hot in some spots, particularly on the lower rump. A minor tweak in the saturation of the red channel helped when I looked at it in PS.
Were you sitting down in the water?

Thanks for the comments. Good point on the red channel; it always happens after the conversion from RGB to sRRB. I forgot the extra step of tweaking it down.
