    Notice you'e been shooting lots of these guys... me too - I find they can be quite fun even if common. Like Stuart said love the detail. Great eye detail and light.

    I enjoy photographing gulls as well, the Ring-billed Gulls will arrive back soon in all the breeding plumage glory up here! Details are perfect, as is the exposure. The shadow on the back is unfortunate, and I would explore warming up the image more as it seems a touch blue. Looks like it was preening for you?
