    This was taken last week at a local creek. A lower angle was a possibility but would have introduced unwanted elements in the BG, plus I like the reflection. Hope you enjoy it.

    Jim:

    You gotta love that 'hairdo'. Excellent eye, enjoy the subtle coloration of her plumage.

    Appreciate the shooting angle comment, as we tend to be a bit draconian about the lowest shooting angle possible. ( I am personally guilty of that, as evidenced my plans for a loon photography submarine!)

    I'm another lover of subs and scuba gear for low angles, but sometimes higher vantage points work well. It's better for reflections and for showing texture in the water. Both key elements in your frame here. Excellent image. Now back to belly-crawling I go.....

    Jim I think you have caught this beautifully,nice colour and detail ,water droplets on the back are a nice touch.

    I like the detail and reflection; I've got no problem with a slightly elevated shooting position. Too bad you didn't have nicer light for this encounter.
