    Hi all,

Another NZ shot off a pelagic boat. At this point clouds had taken over and the waves were getting pretty choppy so trying to keep these fast flyers (who were chasing our moving boat) in the frame was a real challenge! Minor edits, NR, sharpened.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 300mm f4 with 1.4 TC
    Specs: 1/4000 ISO 1600 f/5.6

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

These are such beautiful birds. I saw them off Kaikoura and on the way out to Stewart Island. Light in this shot is a bit tough
but that's what you get with pelagic photography (I lead pelagic birding trips here in Northern California so I know!). If you turned
down the water you might see that pretty pattern a bit more.

Cool looking bird. Really like the patterns in the water. The composition is nice here.

Thanks both -- appreciate it a lot. Dorian so true -- pelagic photography is tough! Hats off to you for leading those trips. Best,
