    Default Tight fit snowy owl

This is from what will probably be my last snowy outing this year as the weather has turned unseasonably warm and they have already started to leave the area. I tried all morning to get a head on shot with the owl looking at the camera but this was the best I could do. I was surprised when i saw it on my screen as I thought the wing tip was clipped on the left side of the image. There was only about 1/4 inch of canvas past the wing so i added some in photoshop to make both sides even. Tight shots are not my favorite but I kind of like this one. cropped only from the top to make it 16:9.
Converted in DPP and finished in photoshop

I like the diagonal position of the bird. Nice and sharp with good detail.

    Great incoming flight image.
Nice and sharp with excellent details on the whites.
PP looks good Re: added canvas.
My only wish is for a more direct gaze so that both eyes were equally visible. However, I would gladly put an image like this in my portfolio!

Nice diagonal here, and I love the bright white of the leading edges of the wings. I agree with Gail about the eyes. Super stuff though!

What a cool looking frame. Nice diagonal pose and clean looking details. I really like the bent primaries. I do agree about the HA but I would take this in a heart beat. Thanks also for letting the viewers know that it was baited. We appreciate your membership and would also appreciate you commenting on some other photos when you post.
    Well done
