Much of the day was overcast so I had been trying out aperture priority and exposure compensation. A few other high key shots coming from this day. I was loving the colors on this bird. What do you think?

    ISO 400
    AV ƒ/6.3
    TV 1/2000
    Focal Length 400mm
Aperture Priority/ +2/3 ec / Servo / AF Point Expansion / Back Button Focus/ Handheld
    Canon 7Dii and 100-400mmL ii

    Processed in DPP4 and PScc

    1) I cropped this image to vertical orientation from landscape and added a bit of content aware canvas at the top.
    2) added Nik DE on the subject, and NR on both subject and BG separately
    3) I burned the eye a bit to lighten it
    4) I resized and sharpened

Thanks for taking the time to look. As always, comments are appreciated.

Very nice. Great detail of the dorsal view here. I don't mind the rocks at the bottom. Well done.

    Noel:

As John said, great dorsal view. The browner juvi plumage really plays up the feathers.

I like the rock to add depth, but might soften the contrast so it isn't quite so dominate.

This is posted so large that it is hard to view without scrolling, even on a 27" monitor.

    Cheers

    Randy

I like the banking pose, composition and rocks at the bottom add to the image for me. Very well done Noel!

Great dorsal view. I do like the juvi colors, although the browns look a little warmer than I'm used to seeing in our Juvi Ring-bills. Good suggestion from Randy. What monitor will be able to view this without scrolling?
