I shot this image in YNP in the early fall. The coyote is looking at a group of people that were stopping him/her from crossing the road. Eventually the obstructionist people got bored watching the coyote watch them & moved on. Then the coyote moved on.

Hi Andrew - Interesting to see the warm tones of this juxtaposed against the cool winter tones of Dale's coyote. I sort of like the way the dead trees frame the coyote. I am wondering if it needs a little ccw rotation as the whole body looks tilted not just the head? If it were mine I would reduce the hls in the bg and at the bottom edge and probably reduce the reds in the bg too. It's always a problem at YNP when people interfere with the movement of the animals.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Very nice image Andrew... Quite the contrast to my image... Agree with Rachel on the rotation.. Minor point. Love the look the coyote has... Well done!

The reason for the coyote seeming to need a little ccw is that he/she is stand on the log. Rachel, thanks for the suggestions re. HLs & the red in the BG.

A nice pose from the coyote, and I agree with the points already raised. I would also prefer the subject to be a little further over to the right if you have any more negative space on the left. Great colours and details
