I'm just back from my "Winter in Yellowstone" Tour last week. Here's a coyote photographed on a snowy morning along the Madison River.

I really like this image. The falling snow & the snow on the fur adds to this image. I like the head turn & the pose. There is also excellent detail in the fur. Great image!

Hi Dale - Looks like you had colder weather this year. This works very well and really portrays the cold with just the right amount of blueish tones for my taste. Nice pose and detail. Somewhat centered comp works with the coyote looking back to the left.

    Thanks Rachel,

Not really to cold... One morning in the interior started off at -20 but warmed quickly. Not a lot of snow again this year and large amounts of open water on the Yellowstone River. Image shown full frame as most of mine are. I could crop a bit for comp....

Dale - I'm not sure if it's better when it's really cold or not but at least it probably wasn't too uncomfortable shooting. Sorry, I wasn't clear. The comp works for me because of the pose.

This is lovely. Love all the snow and the falling snow. The pose and the look on the yote's face is great.

I definitely like this one - he just looks so natural calm and at ease with the environment. Good that none of the snowflakes have covered the face, just a really nice frame

Hi Dale -- Always a pleasure to view your images. This one looks excellent as well with nice details and a lovely pose . The falling snow adds to the scene as well . I would have liked to see a version the increased res which has now been incorporated on BPN .

    Superb capture Dale,
Love everything about this, from pose to comp to colours and detail. There's a pleasant dreamy quality to this frame that appeals to me tremendously, very thoughtfully processed

    Kind regards,
