Default Double Crested Cormorant - from La Jolla Cove

    Attached Images Attached Images

Shot this in Jan 2006 just after sunrise at the usual spot in La Jolla Cove.

    D70, Sigma 500mm @ f11.

Let me know how this image can be improved - composition, lighting, and technique. Thanks in advance.

Hi Muralin I know the spot well !!!

Sweet light on the bird and caught him in a great behavior Fine PS work and all very sharp. Being off sun angle with the soft light did not hurt you much Sure hope you got some pelican landing !!!

Good job with the EXP; the feathers of the back look great, but with the bird's head twisted away from you and the eye half shut this one does not do it for me.

What is going on with the sign and with access? Any changes?

I'm glad I read Artie's comments before I typed my own, because I feel exactly the same way he does about this photo. Thanks for sharing.

Great light, details and setting. I would only remove the feathers on the bill.
