Winter is not complete until I get a good session with Snow Buntings....now can spring just come along please! This individual was somewhat clumsily, but certainly swiftly, waddling across the freshly fallen snow.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1250s., f/8, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, cropped for composition, enhanced the faint catchlight. Audio used to coax the bunting(s) into photographic range.

Nice and sharp with good detail. Like the pose on the bird looks like it is sliding across the snow.

Really like the action here, the snow being kicked up by his effort and being belly deep in the snow.

I still have yet to get a proper shot of a snow bunting. I really like the walking pose and snow being moved around.

Unusual pose and a very natural looking image. The feet digging into the snow, sure brings this image 'alive'.

    Hi Daniel,
I like the pose of the bird making its way through the snow - quite cool. Also like the snow on the beak. Nice frame.

I really like the pose and snow getting kicked up. Snow on the beak is a plus. Looks like this one is a mission. I've only seen this birds a couple times but have yet to get a good frame of them. TFS

Lovely delicate shot with all the necessary detail - the raised foot in an excellent extra touch. The buntings definitely look lighter than the ones we see over this side of the pond
