    Spoonbill from nature preserve here in N. Cal. Limited good crop options but I liked this one best. Thanks for looking.

    The eye looks a little soft compared to your other work i have seen. Nice composition though.

    Hi Jay,
    I like the light hitting the plumage and eye. A nice BG and composition. Agree with John about eye sharpness.

    Nice colors on the bird and a good change from the usual shots of these guys. Your eye is not sharp. Was focus on the eye? Also you were off the sun angle as the whole right side of the bird is shaded.

    I am confused. Is this a captive bird? As presented there is too much dead space at the top. The colors are great.
