    Shot this off my back porch. Used a flash for some fill.
    1DX II, 500mm f/4, Iso 200, F8/0 , 1/500th

    Mike née shot just a few things you could do to improve this would be is:
    #1 to remove the flash catchlight, so theres is only one catchlight.
    #2 do a little cleanup on the birds beak, the dark spot and the 2 little white spots on the black feathers, plus there is some damage to the beak you could fix.
    #3 image is to centered, I would add more room in front of the bird and raise it a tiny bit in the frame.
    #4 clone out the little twig sticking up close to the birds chest.

    On the plus side the image is very sharp, great head angle, nice BG and nice exposure.- Overall very nice.

    Other than the white sparklies on the black around the beak which only appear in the second redition, I am really impressed with what you did here.

    This is very nice Mike.
    Your repost is great.
    The reds look super- and that is the hardest thing to get right in PP.
    Very sharp, great complimentary BG and nice HA.
