    Hi all,
Here's another one from my archives...re-processed the raw file. Canon 7D 100-400mm 1/800th sec f5.6 at 400mm. Cheers.

Really do like this image. Quit sharp and soft background. I don't know for sure but the breast seems to me to have slight blueish tent. Other than that nit you can be proud of this one.

Thank you for the kind words. The bluish tinge is not present on my main monitor, but I can see it on my laptop. I'll check the white balance and see if I can "fix it". Cheers.

    Hi Paul,
I like the details you captured on the bird, the oof BG, and inclusion of the end of the perch. If mine I'd see about adding more space top and bottom. Refining the whites on the bird as Wheeler mentions would also help the image. A fine capture.

    Hi Allen,
Thank you for the feedback. Can you say why you think there needs to be more space top and bottom? I also re-edited the raw file and removed the bluish tinge.

Paul, the image works as is. I was just wondering if adding more space particularly up top may be a slight improvement. Just a matter of personal preference.

These PIED Cormorants have bright white feathers.
Maybe have a look at how much you pull back whites during processing as these look too grey.
