    I've been going through some photos taken quite a while ago and chosen this one to post. I re-edited the raw file and tried cloning out the dark diagonal strip (the edge of the wooden board) but decided that I didn't like the look. Canon 7D 100-400i lens,1/500th sec, f5, iso800, 190mm. Processed in PS...crop, very light sharpening on the head/beak only. Feedback appreciated as always.

    I don't know how you do much better with the Lewins. Colour, HA sharpness all that is great .I like the light on his/ her eye. The only neg. is the perch which would be lovely if it were not part of a building. Apart from that its very very nice.

    Hi Ian. Thank you for the feedback. I agree...a better perch would be preferable.

    Very nice feather detail you got here and I like the look back pose. Now imagine if the bird was perched on a thin branch along with a nice BG how much better it would look. The bird does look good...
