Really nice, made me laugh, love the title. I wish there was catch light on the bird with the kung fu move, but not a deal breaker. Thank you for sharing.

You get bonus points for the title!
Nice action portayed and quite surprised that your aperture of 5.6 was enough to get both birds nice and sharp in the frame.
Comp wise I would take a bit off the top.
    Whites look good.
For some reason, that horizontal grass in the BG RHS really catches my eye. I would try blurring it (or cloning it out if you are Ok with doing that)

Nice action here. The left one does look like it's doing some kung fu.

    Hi Will,
Excellent action capture! Love the interaction here. The underside of the wings seem to have some noise - may be worth a look to tone that down some.

Great action shot. My only nit is the grass as it distracts from the image being the only coloured area. If it wasn't intersecting the wing I'd vote to try a version without it. But if you are a wizard in PS you could try a version without grass and just put some more ice up there.

Will - I like the action you captured; I like the texture in the ice; and the colors on those gulls are great. Thanks for sharing.

Another fun shot from these sparring gulls. I like the poses and the ice. Excellent title. I agree that you should revisit the wings as they are too noisy.

Great shot. I love the ice they are standing on. The grass in the background doesn't bother me at all, but if you want to make it less eye catching you could run a bit of a blur or dodge on the spot where it meets the ice and creates the strong dark line. Photographing one bird well is hard enough, so any good shot that has two subjects is worthy of praise in my book!

Thanks for the tips and comments guys. Much appreciated and learned from. It was quite a large crop, I had just removed my 1.4 before this shot, as I had been taking close up flight shots. Wished I had left it on now...
