    Whitetail family during a little snow storm. The head angles are not ideal here. The foreground is kinda awkward as well. Image adjustments in Lightroom and Photoshop.

    Hi John - A nice family grouping and the falling snow adds to the image. I agree with your self-assessment on HA and the fg. Despite it then being a little tight at the bottom, I would consider cropping out most of the plain snow triangle at the bottom of the frame.

    Hi John -- Lovely winter settings and a nice family gathering. Agree with Rachel on cropping suggestion at the foot of the image. Also i find the details a bit on the crunchy side. Also the BKG is not helping here as there isnt too much of separation for the subject . A nice one though .

    This is far better John, really great 'winter feel' here, you just needed to move the framing more to the LH. With a little bit of local adjustment to the FG snow you can bring more detail out which will help and retaining the space below. ISO3200, well done, but in snow conditions you really need to look at the Histogram, nothing else, as it will throw you metering.
