    Default Red-Shouldered Hawk Part 2

Here is the second shot (in the sequence) of the RSH. There were two others that could have been keepers but on one AF shifted to the talons and on the other bushes got in the way. Oh well, take what we can get.
Details: D850, Sigma 500/4, 1/3200, 6.3, ISO 800, Fairly large crop but lots of pixels to work with - happy with IQ in spite of that. C1P raw, PS CCC 2018 adjustments, clipped edits, NR and SS on output.

    Another beauty
im finding the same thing on cropping a D850 pic. It’s
like the body has added 100 virtual mm to the lens and way less clips
the little 300pf plays so well w the D850

Hi Jay, I like the intense look, and good light on the head to show up the eye. The RSH pops from the BG, and a nice clean BG too.

Looks good for the large crop. Really liking that dynamic pose on the bird. Great stuff.

    Jay:

Very dynamic pose, you can almost feel him banking into the turn. Good bg, colors. Love the dangling feet.

In a perfect world, always like to have the head not overlapping the body, so it has separation, but of course, not possible with this pose and your angle on the bird.

    Cheers

    Great take off pose Jay.
I love the serious eye contact with this image.

Looks like all the ex-Canonians will have lots of fun with the Nikon AF as well.
