Driving home from Yellowstone last week with my 9 yr old grandson and briefly stopped at Quivira Ntl Wildlife Refuge. Dickcissals were singing every where, but most in bad light. Just before sunset found this one and shot from jeep window with bean bag. ISO at 640 to help offset the 9 yr old.Picture Not as bright as some I have seen but light was becoming soft. This is a bird I do not see very often being from the south.

Very nice golden light. It would be nice to have the head turned towards you.

Hey Chas, Beautiful light and sharp. Head angle and light angle a bit off, but nice and sharp.

Lovely pose, light and composition. I have to agree about the head angle. You have a winner here!

Nice singing pose, light and BG. I wish for a bit more head turn toward you and it would have been even better with the sun behind you. Keep them coming!
