These guys are pretty much always rather elegant looking, but I thought it was even more so than usual with this particular pose.

What a pose indeed Daniel, very nicely composed and exposure looks spot on. The feathers look like a first year, spotted chest, what do you think? Lovely...

Stunning pose and framing. The monochromatic feel makes me want to see it as a B&W too Daniel.
Love the eye contact and the superb details.

Incredible front-end vertical, and I love the white background. The detail in the bill and neck is top notch. Local bird?

OK, this is terrible...ly good. Just love the color and details - but esp. the crop. Great!

I love the perked-up pose. Crop is perfect for me.
Great HA and I love the exposure on the whites and how well the white on the neck is well separated from the BG.

What a wonderful portrait of my favorite duck. Great exposure. How cooperative of him to pose long enough for you to capture the perfect comp in-camera.

Thanks guys! Jake, local bird, yes, but quite irregular...right place at the right time I guess. Luckily there is a more dependable male American Wigeon at that spot :-)

    Daniel:

A lovely bird, excellent crop, exposure. One of my favorites, but I have only seen them a couple of times in Michigan.

    Thanks

Looking real good. The chosen crop shows the bird well. Very nice pose and details. The white BG shows it very nice.
