On site I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the gulls were picking up and tossing around... looks to be just some bark. Anyhow, this fella seemed to be enjoying himself immensely.

    Jay:

Lots of fun with this one! Great action, well exposed, good detail, flying drops.

In perfect world, wish the near wing wasn't pointing right at us, but the action carries the day.

    Cheers

Great action shot. Very nice. I agree with Randy re the near wing. I also think the color of the bird is too blue. By the way this and your other photo are young Ring-billed Gulls.

Typical Ring-billed Gull antics! They love playing with whatever they can find. I do wish for a catchlight or reflection on the eye.
