Default -20 to -30 F photography need suggestions

    Hi Folks,
Heading North in two weeks and I have never experienced such sub zero temperatures. Im a new englander and 0 degrees F is what i can handle. Anyway, looking for any suggestions, gear, clothing, a specific piece of clothing, brand of hand warmers, anything... I usually have more time and have tried out gear but I wont be able to do that prior... I need to order soon... Brrrrrhhh, and thanks
    Ann

Dress in layers, and hand warmers sure do work well when really cold out there (foot warmers too), and can last for hours. The trick is not to expose those warmers to the cold, else they lose their effectiveness rather quickly - keep them in your gloves even when taking your hands out. I do like the "Little Hotties" brand, but they all are better than nothing. Although I do not often follow my own advice, do cover your ears, that tingling feeling when they are frozen is rather annoying.
