    John:

    The winter mallard season is def. upon us! Like the wing back position, angle in frame, good illumination of the green about the eye, placement of subject in frame.

    I might very slightly tone down the from the snow on the bush to the left. Just a wee bit distracting/ eye drawing.

    For me the bird has more than enough contrast to consider toning down the snow. However, that's the beauty of this. We all see/envisage a different result. Even if ever slightly so.
    A more upward wing position would have put this well over the top. It is pretty good as is, but just not quite there for my taste.

    Really nice in flight pose, face looks really good. Agree with Randy on toning down the snow a little. Thank you for sharing John.
