I like the plumage on these doves. Captured at Quinta Mazatlan, McAllen, TX in November. I added a little canvas on top, left and right; cropped a bit off the bottom.

    D500, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 2000, 1/640s @ f/7.1 manual; fill @ -2.0; 1600px wide.

Nice detail. Never heard or have seen on until now. Pretty neat looking.

The canvas extension is really nicely done. Seamless. The sharpening looks better here as well, I think you are starting to get the hang of the larger files . Good details in the feathers.

Thanks Daniel. I still had to sharpen to the point of slight crunchiness in PS to have it look like this after uploading. Never had to do that before, but I guess that's what it will take.

Bummer about that perch. But what a gorgeous dove. Nice PP work too Bill. Lots of nice detail and I find myself looking over and over its plumage.

Google Peaceful Dove (Geopelia placida), one of our Aussies. This Inca reminds me of the peaceful ones very much. Except ours are a bit prettier (you'll see) :)

    Well done and TFS

Really lovely work again, Bill. The perch is the only downside for me... if only it had not been sawn off. But the rest of the image makes up for it with wonderful rendering of tone and detail and great background. One I'd be very happy with if mine.
