I captured this image in Big Cypress, Florida with the Nikon D500 Handheld and Nikkor AF-S 500/4E FL ED VR. I don’t like the branch intersecting the bird, I can probably delete it, but decided against it for now.
    ISO 500
    f6.3
    1/4000
    Manual Mode
    Processed on LR and PS.
    Cropped Approx. 25%.

All C & C's will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for looking

Nice Image. A bit more room on the left will help the image. Nice Catch light.

Details and pose look great with killer eye contact. That perch is a problem. I agree that I don't like the part that is touching the bird. I also think that as presented the part that is near the left edge is too close. I would loosen the crop a bit to give the left edge some space. Being super picky I would then also deal with the piece that is sticking up in the bottom left edge which will become more pronounced once you loosen the crop.

Thank you for the comments and suggestions guys...I got super picky and cloned out the branch that I didn't like. I'd like to know your opinion.

    Thanks again

I prefer the original. That branch was not that much of an obstruction.
Love the light and detail in this shot.
You have done a wonderful job with this capture!

I think the repost is a big improvement. Excellent job with the cloning. If I didn't know that you did something I would never even think to look at that spot. It looks natural. you also have some room on the left now and the twig isn't so close to the edge. Really takes this one over the top. Very nice image of this Florida race of the Red-shouldered Hawk. This is one of the best that I have seen of this species.
