    Hi John, I like the low POV. The background and composition work well. Nice detail and exposure on the bird, I wonder if there is not more detail hiding in the black head cap. Thank you for sharing.

    I'm really liking the low angle, sharpness, colours. The eye looks great! I'd be tempted to burn or clone out the thin lighter band along the top edge. Good stuff!

    Perfect low POV John but you haven't submitted it for the monthly theme? Background and foreground are great. I'm not sure what these look like in real life but wondering if the tone is a little thin on the bird (notwithstanding that dark head cap which wouldn't want to go any darker). Excellent detail and effective pose and composition.

    Hi John, love the light in this, and great image for the monthly theme. I like the ruffled feathers, and I like how the FG blends into the upper BG.
