Great detail here. I like the side lighting. I would clone out whatever is on the lower beak.
Hi Simon, you got some sharp details and a good HA, the main issue here is the light angle, coming from the side it has cast harsh shadows on the subject, next time put the sun behind you if you can. I like the BG, the perch is a bit busy especially with intersecting branches.... BG shows some noise

Thanks. I cloned a couple of branches from the bg which cut behind the bird but I agree the remaining branches aren't ideal. Angle was restricted here as its taken from a hide.
I didn't apply any NR or blur to the bg so can improve that aspect.
