Hi John ..real stunner for me .
All does look good from my perspective . Love the golden light and the subtle details in the darks, very well done in the field and at home .No crit from my side .Very nice overall mood

Hi John, great light, but personally I feel the framing is a bit too open, too much space for the subject. Perhaps tighter crop?

Hi John - Beautiful, warm light. I know how much of a rarity that kind of light is in the Ithaca area. I agree with Steve and would take a little off the top and left. If it were mine I would also deal with the specular hl about midway between the buck and the left edge just above the grass.

Very nice John. A simple but very effective composition and great lighting. Unsure about a tighter crop but may be worth a try. I like the bugs in the air in this one but also see Rachel's point about the OOF one half way between the buck and the left edge. Nicely rendered 'dark side' of the buck too: not too bright or dark for the situation while still providing detail there.

Hi John -- Brilliant image , loved the light and the low POV , making this an absolute cracker of an image . Yes slightly getting of the top will make for an even better frame , but as presented it still works for me . TFS !

The thumbnail said it all! An incredible image in my opinion. Very nice with the backlighting. WOW!
The flying insects make it even more.
    Congrats!
