I was able to photograph this little avocet chick on my trip to Texel (The Netherlands) in the first week of June.
Getting low at this location was pretty difficult as there was not much room, but I used an anglefinder and managed it.
Great light, angle, pose and reflection. I agree regarding more room at the top and it needs 0.4 degrees CW rotation (I used the ruler tool). :) Keep them coming!
Great angle and colours. If you use the ruler tool and draw a line from the eye to the eye in the reflection, then click on image, rotate canvas, arbitrary and click on ok. This will straighten it for you.
Just stunning. The reflection is beyond perfect. And so, so sharp. For a print, I would do two things if it fits with your personal ethics:
1: Work on the white o-o-f thing just behind the bird (and the reflection of same). This will require lots of careful work as it merges with the fuzzy down.
2- Get rid of the two dark strips and the one dark spot on the mud in front of the bird.
