Nice light, low perspective, and feeding post. You need to make better use of your AF system to move the bird well back in the frame; it is too centered as presented.

Not a problem, I think I have more canvas on the right side to pull the bird back more to the left. I just felt since the bird wasn't looking nor moving forward, that I could take off some empty space from the right.

    Hey Ray,

Here is the easy way to think of it: nobody gives a rat's *** what is going on behind the bird's butt :)

    Raybel:

Soft, warm light, great POV, like the gently banded background.

I like the diagonals created by his tilt, legs. I agree with Artie re: comp. if going horizontal, but just for giggles, with this particular birds pose and lines, I might be tempted to go completely the other way and do a vertical, to play up his tall, slim body. This would only work for me because of the head down pose, not if he was upright.

Fun to "break the rules" sometimes.

    Cheers

    Randy

Nice Warm Colors. I agree to a little on the left so that bird wont be so centered

Nice one. Like the light, multi colored BG, and pose. I'm biased towards horizontal and would also have more room to the right, less to the left. TFS

Thanks everyone. I will move the bird to the left a bit then.
