    one from yesterday at viera wetlands in melbourne. the stilts didnt take too kindly to the tri-color heron invading it's territory!!

    D300, Bigma at 270mm, f/11, 1/1000s, -1.3EV, ISO 400

    Hi Harold, first impression is it looks busy. If it were mind, I would try to see if I could do something to separate the birds from the background more. I think I'd try perhaps darken the colors of the background or blur it. Or, I'd see if I could brighten, or enhance the colors or contrast of the birds to make them stand out more from the background.

    Bg wise not much to do here but enjoy the image, its actually not bad at all considering !!!! btw these multiple bird interaction images do well in contest !!!

    Sometimes you get what you get. Nice action and species interaction, BG does seem a bit busy but good catch all the same!

    This is great action and it really tells a story, must have been fun to watch. As said earlier, it is what it is and that's where they live.
