This is one from the local harbour at the weekend. A flock of around 80 birds fly from Scandinavia, every year, and spend the winter in my home town. They are not very human friendly and always remain a good distance. I have a spot near to the harbour entrance behind a large block, but, the condition of the tide, determines the POV I get. The higher the tide, the better for me, although, if the water is choppy it does get a wee bit dodgy. Eiders have also returned, so it looks like good times ahead!!

I would probably take a little off the top, but it is still fine as presented.
Love the low POV and pose, nicely angled towards you.
The sheen on its head and the eye really make it stand out nicely.
    Well done mate. :)

Handsome Will, I think a slice off the top would be good along with more canvas to the left if you have it. Exposure is dead on and the head colors are superb, fine work!

Common Goldeneye are next to impossible to get close to in NY. They are always way out into the bay. This one makes me quite envious. Bird looks great as does the exposure. Very nice.

Great low angle shot and good job exposing these though species. These birds with dark and white feather are a nightmare! but you did good.

Beautiful image Will. I love the eye and details on the head feathers.
