    Default House Wren

A current employee of my backyard. :o I keep him well fed and he gives me generous photo ops.
Taken with the recently purchased D300, I am liking this camera! :)

Nice setting, pose and details. Maybe a bit more room at the top. Do these flowers grow there or is it a setup?

I'd like to see what this perch looks like in early morning or late afternoon light! Looks like it could be toned down a bit. I like the slightly open wings.

Hey Mike, I much prefer #2 especially for the toned down perch. Aside from that, I think that it is an all-around better image... The bird is bigger in the frame, and it is singing.

I prefer the 2nd one also, Mike! I agree with Artie on all points.

Beautiful images. I too prefer the second image because of the framing too.
They are both very sharp though in all the right places. Eyes, face, upper body. And that bg is gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing. Congrats on the new gear. We all love when that happens. ;)
