Hi Greg - Nice to see a giant river otter. I don't recall many being posted. Great eye contact, pov and pose. Some of the blacks are choked and have a blue cast to them. If it were mine I would also open up the midtones slightly. I do think I would have gone for a bit ss, especially from a moving boat. Keep them coming.
TFS,
Rachel

I agree with Rachel's comments 100%, I think I would remove the OOF bough on the left and maybe the one at the top.

Hi Greg -- A lovely looking subject and a nice eye contact as well. Agree with the above , especially what Rachel has to say. I would have also liked some more space at the bottom . TFS !

Dear Greg,
Wonderful capture, I think this is the first time I see a giant river otter and I really like the way he fills the frame and especially pose here, quite intriguing: subject's body language tells he is relaxed but the little "grin" on its face suggests a different story:)
Love the eye contact and mouth open. Nice POV. There is a blue cast as Rachel mentioned above, easy fix if you like. You could also soften, or rather darken, the appearance of those branches in the BG.
Thank you so much for sharing this special sighting with us. I do not know the capabilities of your equipment but hoping you might try for more SS in the future, you'd be amazed at the results
Have a great rest of the week,
Kind regards,

Hi Greg a cool frame of the stunning Otter species.
I can only echo Rachelīs thoughts , agree 100 % with her thinking and suggestions .
Bummer about the dead branches in the BG .....leave them or remove them depending on your ethics .
You have a wide variety of mammal shots .....you must have been to so many different places !!!! Very nice .
Just push that kit further in terms of SS and ISO !!!!!! You will not regret it.
