Bird looks nice against the snow. Everything does! Exposure looks good as well. I wish the bird was a little higher on that mound. Also was the snow in the background so blue or is that a sensor issue. Often I find that snow looks far too blue in the camera and you need to reduce the blues a bit to get it closer to what it was when you took the shot.
That makes sense John but were they that blue in person? As mentioned, shadows are often far too blue and you need to selectively tone down the blue in those areas. Usually I will select those areas and then feather at least 7 pixels. Then in hue/saturation will lower the blue saturation until the shadows look dark gray as they should instead of blue. You can also adjust color in selective color as well.
