Theme: Low angle loon on blue

This handsome fellow was captured on a clear day on a northern Michigan lake last summer. Although I really like green water with the loons, I was struck by the lovely blue water in this one. The subject isolation from an effective 900mm lens, with f/4.5 aperture worked well.

Post: slight crop to level. very mild selective sharpening on the bird.

I'm no expert on loons, and most of the photos I see are on green water, this is cool an distinctive.
